Have you been to Alaska? I have..

Hi there.. well I’m back from my ‘once in a lifetime’ trip to Alaska.. I cruised on Norwegian Cruise Lines on the Jewel.  I had a fabulous time and I was elated to see the glaciers.  Of course there will be pictures posted and layouts made to commemorate my epic trip.  If you ever have a chance to go to Alaska… do so.. I cruised:

Ketchikan, AK
Ketchikan is a city in Ketchikan Gateway Borough, Alaska, United States, the southeasternmost city in Alaska. With a population at the 2010 census of 8,050 within the city limits, it is the fifth-most populous city in the state.

Juneau, AK

Juneau was founded as a gold-mining camp in 1880. It became Alaska territorial capital in 1900, home of the Legislature in 1912 and Alaska state capital in 1959 upon statehood. There’s no highway access to rest of Alaska or to Canadian provinces. It’s the home of University of Alaska Southeast.

Skagway, AK

Welcome to the Municipality of Skagway, Alaska. On June 28, 1900, Skagway became the first incorporated first-class city in Alaska, and on June 25, 2007, the city was dissolved and the first-class Municipality of Skagway Borough was formed, also the first of its kind in Alaska. Skagway is historically considered the gateway to the Gold Rush of 1898.Skagway is located in the Upper Lynn Canal and is considered the northernmost point in Southeast Alaska, 80 air miles from the capital city of Juneau and 110 road miles from Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, Canada. The Port of Skagway is the northernmost ice-free, deep-water port in North America, and serves as a year-round transportation hub between Alaska, the Yukon Territory, Northern British Columbia, the Northwest Territories and Europe. The Municipality of Skagway Borough encompasses 452 square miles.

This was a dream come true for me… I can now check this one off my bucket list.

Ladies, Happy Mother’s day (belated)  … I hope

Ladies, Happy Mother’s day (belated)  … I hope each and every one of you mother’s had a wonderful day with your family and friends.  I certainly had a peaceful day.  I wanted to share a project I completed on Saturday.  It’s a craft room or space plaque.  I used only items that I already had.. which as you know could be a challenge..

I enjoy creating altered projects.. I am hoping to do enough projects so that the next time a DT call for Prima or Graphic 45 or any other to other great shops are bring on new members, I will have something to submit.

Also… as you know there is a new crafting group out there, which I am finding a joy to be apart of.  I’d live to invite you to join  There are so many lovely and talented ladies there and they are running a contest… for the most members… so I thought I would give it a try.. .. Head on over and join and in the comment section, just say I invited you. Bring your creativity and your friends over… 🙂

I love comments, let me know you are out there.. you join my site and I will join yours… Crafters must “stick” together.. 🙂

Do you Zentangle? I am learning to….

Zentangle is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns.

Almost anyone can use it to create beautiful images. It increases focus and creativity, provides artistic satisfaction along with an increased sense of personal well being. The Zentangle method is enjoyed all over this world across a wide range of skills, interests and ages.

We believe that life is an art form and that our Zentangle method is an elegant metaphor for deliberate artistry in life.

This is a sample..

It’s an art…

Do you know anyone who does it… We have a Zentangle group listed on  I invite you to come and join us there and share your creativity.
